Why this matters
Young people in the hills of Champawat are talented and hardworking, but many lack access to career guidance, industry exposure and job-ready skills. Too often, the search for work means leaving home. Project Unnati is designed to change that by connecting local youth with real opportunities in one of India's fastest-growing sectors, while strengthening livelihoods within their own communities.
What the programme offers
The programme will run at the Foundation's centre in Lohaghat and will include:
- Career counselling for 150 young people, helping them understand their options and plan their next steps.
- Employability enhancement programmes covering the workplace skills employers look for.
- Hospitality skills training for 60 learners, delivered in line with industry standards.
