IHCL Partnership with Pragyan Foundation
Pragyan Technology and Social Policy Action Foundation has partnered with The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) to launch Project Unnati, helping youth from Lohaghat, Pati and Barakot build careers in hospitality.

Founded by Jamsetji Tata, IHCL opened The Taj Mahal Palace in 1903. Through its Paathya ESG+ framework, IHCL has trained over 56,000 youth since 2020 and aims to skill 1,00,000 youth by 2030.
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
Pragyan Technology and Social Policy Action Foundation is a Section 8 (not-for-profit) company registered under the Indian Companies Act, 2013 and Darpan, GOI NITI Aayog.
It has its registered office in Mumbai and operations in Uttarakhand and Maharashtra with expansion plans. The Foundation works at the intersection of policy, technology, and grassroots social action, with objects spanning policy and technology advisory, environment and water conservation, agriculture, health, education, culture, and social relief and rehabilitation.
Its mandate is to design and implement evidence-based, community-anchored interventions especially in India's underserved geographies and support organizations directly working in these areas wherever applicable.

At Pragyan Technology and Social Policy Action Foundation, we work across the Pati, Lohaghat and Barakot blocks of Champawat district, Uttarakhand. Our education, health and livelihoods programmes are grounded in three years of field research. We invite professionals, students and institutions to volunteer, intern, conduct research, contribute, partner with us or share our work.
- Volunteer: Teach, mentor or run library sessions online or in Champawat.
- Intern or research: Join field studies and evaluations in public policy, development, public health or agriculture.
- Give: Help bring books to village libraries, support skills training for young women and sustain the Swasthya Rath mobile health unit serving 19 Gram Panchayats.
- Spread the word: Follow Pragyan Foundation and share our work with your network.
